The Daffodil Place Campaign received a $5000 gift from Sweets for Susan.
The fundraiser Sweets for Susan was formed by Melissa, Sarah and J.P Gordon and Melanie Durdle and Jon Williams to raise money for families who have lost a loved one to cancer. The Gordon Family unexpectedly lost their mother Susan Gordon to cancer. They dealt with their enormous loss by developing a fundraiser called 'Sweets for Susan'. The family wanted to support a much needed facility for cancer patients and their families while honoring a wonderful mother and wife.
"Our project started off small, with us making chocolate angels, hearts and roses. However, the support we received from people was enormous", said Melissa Gordon, one of the founding members. She added, "We were thrilled to present this gift to help open the doors to Daffodil Place."
